Dobri John Stojsic, Founder and Senior Partner
Dobri is a senior executive with over 30 years of experience in strategic planning, marketing and sales and service quality. Throughout his career, he has focused on building effective strategic plans, developing lines of business and implementing marketing programs in the US and Canada. Dobri was formerly Senior Vice President, Corporate Planning and Development with Aetna Canada and Senior Vice President, Consumer Marketing with the Bank of Montreal. He has also been Executive Vice President with a U.S. savings bank. He founded The Strategic Planning Group in 1992 and currently specializes in delivering competitive advantage and helping companies realize their marketing potential. Dobri was an Adjunct Professor of Marketing at the University of Toronto in the MBA programs. He taught Marketing Strategy and Service Quality. Dobri is a graduate of McGill University in Montreal and attended the Executive Development Program at Northeastern University in Boston. He was also on the Deans advisory counsel at Ryerson University.
Barry L. Linetsky, Partner
Barry has been a partner with T.S.P.G. since 1994, working with senior executives and their management teams to develop business strategies and strategic solutions for their unique business problems. Prior to joining T.S.P.G., Barry worked for a leading global financial services company, providing his expertise in strategic planning and analysis, marketing, product development and operations management. He is a relentless advocate of the need for a customer-driven focus to both strategy and business alignment in order to drive organizational change and shareholder value. Barry works with organizations to help them sharpen their strategic focus and understand how customer expectations of product and service performance can be used to drive all aspects of their business. He has developed numerous models and tools to help clients understand their business constraints and to implement solutions to enhance their effectiveness. Barry holds a B.A. in Sociology and an M.A. in Philosophy from York University, and an M.B.A. from the University of Toronto.
Jeremy Harvey, Partner
Jeremy emigrated to Canada and joined T.S.P.G. in 2003, after over ten years of consulting in the USA and Europe primarily in the food industry. Prior to consulting, Jeremy held a number of senior marketing positions in global packaged goods companies, including Reckitt & Colman, Scottish & Newcastle and Unilever. During his career, he has developed a deep understanding of marketing and brands, and he believes passionately that a clear understanding of consumer needs coupled with a realistic view of corporate capabilities are the foundations for successful business strategies. Jeremy continues to enjoy helping companies develop strategies that are both practical and profitable.He is currently the head of strategy of the Marketing and Management Division of the Institute of Food Technologists. Jeremy studied History and Economics at St.Johns College, Oxford, and has a B.A. in Modern History, and an M.A. from Oxford University.
Paul Batho, Partner
Paul is a senior executive with over 25 years of experience in the insurance and investment business as a financial, marketing and investment officer. In his career, Paul has been the Chief Operating Officer of KBSH Capital Management, Senior Vice President, Marketing & Product Development, Chief Investment Officer, Chief Actuary & CFO with Transamerica Life and held significant roles in North American Life and Occidental Life. Paul is head of the Strategic Stewardship practice within T.S.P.G. He will focus on Board strategy, strategic governance, Board logistics, mandates of Directors and Board performance evaluations. Currently, Paul is the Chair of the Independent Review Committee of IA Clarington Funds, and serves on the Pension Board of the United Church. Formerly he was a Director of KBSH Leaders Trust and the KBSH Spirit Foundation, a charitable organization focused on children's causes. Paul graduated from the University of Waterloo with an honours BMath, he is a Fellow of the Canadian Institute of Actuaries, a CFA and recently completed the Directors Education Program of the Institute of Corporate Directors.
